ICONOGRAPHY CLASSES

at the Russian Orthodox
Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection.
Weekly classes and open studio sessions are offered at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Virgin Protection, 59 East Second Street, New York, NY. For directions, and detailed information, please clisk HERE.
Weekly Open Studio Classes
Open Studio provides instruction and guidance in the icon writing process,
as well as access to studio resources and materials. These classes allow
students who have completed their first icon to continue their practice.
There is no enrollment for open studio sessions, but students are encouraged
to come regularly. Beginners are also welcome. Open Studio: $10/hour.Unless
otherwise indicated, classes are conducted as open studio.
Please call to confirm if you have not attended recently. Current schedule below. Schedule is subject to change.
Classes cannot be held during Church services.

B, D, Q to Broadway-Lafayette
6 to Bleeker Street
F to Second Avenue
From Penn Station or Port Authority take the Downtown A, C, or
E Train to West 4th Street & transfer to the Downtown F Train to 2nd
Avenue.
From MetroNorth/Grand Central Station: take the Downtown 6 Train
to Bleeker Street.
Via Taxi:
Tell the driver, "East Village: 2nd Street between 1st Avenue and
2nd Avenue" Cathedral will be approx. half way down 2nd Street on
the right.
